Straight answer
Real four-hour totals, captain and fuel included. No per-person tickets, no balance due in cash at a dock.
A private yacht party in Miami costs $1,320 to $2,800 for four hours, depending on yacht size: $1,320 on a 40–49 ft yacht (up to 12 guests), $1,800 on a 50–59 ft (up to 13), and $2,800 on a 60–79 ft (up to 13). Those are full charter totals, not starting teasers — the captain, fuel, ice, water, a cooler and bluetooth sound are already in the number.
| Yacht | Guests | Rate | 4-hour total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yacht 40–49 ft | up to 12 | from $330/h | $1,320 |
| Yacht 50–59 ft | up to 13 | from $450/h | $1,800 |
| Yacht 60–79 ft | up to 13 | from $700/h | $2,800 |
If you've been pricing the $59–$109 per-person tickets, that's a different product: a shared deck, an open bar, a DJ and a hundred people you've never met. It has its place — we cover it on our boat party Miami page and break down the ticketed format on the booze cruise page. A yacht party rental in Miami is the opposite deal. You charter the entire yacht, you pick who steps aboard, you pick the music, the route and the pace. BYOB is allowed, so your bar bill is whatever the liquor store charged you.
Booking is simple: a 30% deposit holds your date, the balance is due on charter day, and if weather turns, the reschedule is free on the captain's call. Four hours is the minimum for yachts in this class, and it's the right minimum — enough for a skyline run, an anchorage stop and a swim before you head back. Every number above matches our live calculator on the Miami prices page, so what you see here is what lands on your quote.
The fleet
Category-level pricing across a vetted partner fleet. Tell us your date and headcount and we match the exact yacht.
UP TO 12 GUESTSThe birthday workhorse: swim platform, shaded lounge, enough deck for twelve to dance without elbows.
UP TO 13 GUESTSThe sweet spot for a night yacht party: flybridge views for the skyline, salon below when the breeze picks up.
UP TO 13 GUESTSThe statement tier — the yacht that reads as the venue in every photo. Built for promos, shoots and serious birthdays.
Same headcount cap on every tier — USCG rules, not our policy — so upgrading buys space, presence and comfort, not more guests. Want the boat for a full day, or something past 80 ft? That's standard work for us too; start at yacht charter Miami and we'll build the day around you.
Occasions
Six formats we run every week out of Miami Beach Marina and Sea Isle Marina.
The most-booked yacht party in Miami, full stop. Cake stays cold in the cooler, the skyline does the decorating. Playbook, pricing and add-ons on the birthday yacht party page.
Champagne at golden hour, a swim stop, and photos the group chat will run for years. See the bachelorette yacht party page for the full format.
Client entertainment, team send-offs, product launches. A 60–79 ft yacht against the Miami skyline says more than any rooftop rental — and the invoice is one clean line.
Music videos, brand shoots, influencer days. You get a captain who knows where the light sits at every hour and a deck with no strangers walking through frame.
The 1–5 PM format: anchor at a sandbar, floats out, speakers on, sun down the whole time. Miami's day-club scene without the minimum spend or the crowd.
Depart at golden hour, come back under the lit-up skyline. The city looks its best from the water after dark — full itinerary below.
Timing matters more than most people expect. Miami parties on the water year-round, but January through April is peak season — spring break in March books out first, and the best 50–59 ft yachts go two to three weeks ahead on Saturdays. November and December bring the flattest water of the year, which is what you want if half your guests have never been on a boat. Summer runs warm and cheap-ish with brief afternoon rain; reschedules are free, so hurricane-season dates are a smaller gamble than they sound. Whatever the month, sunset slots go first — if the golden-hour departure matters to you, book it early.
Do the math
A private yacht sounds expensive until you divide it by the people on board.
Take the 50–59 ft tier at $1,800 for four hours. With thirteen aboard that's about $138 each — for a private yacht, a licensed captain, fuel, sound and BYOB drinks at store prices. A decent table on Collins Ave costs more before the second bottle arrives. Drag the slider and see where your group lands.
After dark
Our most-requested four hours: leave in golden light, party under the city's lights. Here's how the evening actually runs.
Drinks into the cooler, phones onto the bluetooth, safety brief from the captain. You pull out of the slip while the light is still warm — the best photos of the night happen in the first thirty minutes.
Across the bay toward downtown as the towers switch on. The captain holds the angle where the whole skyline fits one frame — sunset on one side, city lights on the other.
A slow pass along Star Island and Millionaire's Row between the MacArthur Causeway and Miami Beach. By night the mansions are all glow and dock lights, and the water is calm enough to pour without spilling.
Monument Island is Miami Beach's party anchorage, and at night you'll often have it nearly to yourselves. Anchor down, volume up, city glowing on three sides. This is the stretch people book the night charter for.
An easy cruise back under the causeway lights. Want the anchorage stretch longer? Book six hours instead of four — same route, more of the good part.
Upgrades
The yacht is the venue. Everything else is a line item we can arrange with vetted local pros — tell us the occasion and we quote the package.
From cold platters and sushi boats to a plated dinner served at anchor. BYOB covers the drinks; catering covers everything else. Priced per head on your quote.
Balloon garlands, letter banners, table styling — installed on board before you arrive. Professional yacht decoration runs about $350 at Miami market rates.
Someone else builds the drinks so nobody's stuck playing host. Works especially well on 6–8 hour charters and corporate runs.
A shooter who works boats: knows the golden-hour angles, the skyline backdrops, and how to keep a horizon level from a moving deck.
From $120/h per ski, delivered to your anchorage. Turns the Monument Island stop into its own event.
Good to know
The 13-guest rule: under USCG regulations, most private yachts in Miami may carry a maximum of 12–13 guests — whether the yacht is 40 ft or 80 ft. More than 13 people requires an inspected vessel. That's what our party catamarans are: inspected, certified, and rated for up to 65 guests from $900/h.
