Yacht rental Miami prices start at $140 per hour for a 10-guest pontoon and top out at $900 per hour for a 65-guest party catamaran. Most private charters land in the middle: a 40–49 ft yacht runs $330 per hour with a 4-hour minimum, so a standard afternoon on Biscayne Bay costs from $1,320 all-in. Every rate below includes a USCG-licensed captain and fuel. We publish this table because nobody else in Miami does — most operators show three vague "from" figures, or nothing at all, and let the real number find you at the dock.

Totals use each category's starting rate. A newer or better-equipped boat inside the same category can quote higher — you always see the exact figure in writing before you pay a deposit, never after you board. Zero surprises
Captain, fuel, ice, water, sound and a cooler are inside every private charter price. The extras are the things you choose, not the things we hide.
Licensed USCG captain. Drives, navigates, anchors, reads the weather. Not an upsell.
Fuel. Standard Biscayne Bay routes — sandbars, Star Island, skyline — burn on us.
Ice & water. Stocked before you step aboard.
Bluetooth sound system. Your phone, your playlist.
Cooler. BYOB is allowed on private charters — bring what you like, we keep it cold.
Catering. From platters to a private chef; quoted per menu.
Jet ski. $120 per hour per ski, added to any charter.

Gratuity. 15–20% of the charter total is customary, paid to the crew.
Dock pickup outside our marinas. Standard departures from Miami Beach Marina, Sea Isle Marina and the Haulover area are free; a private dock elsewhere costs extra.

Honest market talk
Two 45-footers can quote $1,300 and $2,600 for the same four hours. Five factors explain almost every gap.
A 2023 yacht with a new interior charges more than a 2008 hull of the same length. Neither is a scam — but the listing photo rarely tells you which one you're getting. Ask the year before comparing rates.
Where the boat lives changes what it costs to run. Slips at prime Miami Beach docks cost the owner more than slips up the Miami River, and that difference flows into the hourly rate.
Saturday afternoon is the most contested slot on Biscayne Bay. The same boat is routinely cheaper Monday–Thursday, and morning departures price softer than 1 PM. Flexible dates are the easiest discount that exists.
January–April is peak — spring break in March is the single most expensive stretch of the year. November–December brings the flattest water. June–November is hurricane season: rain cells pass fast, reschedules are free, and it's the best deal window on the calendar.
Many Miami "charter companies" are resellers stacking 20–30% on someone else's boat. We work directly with a vetted partner fleet, publish the rates, and put them in the calculator — so the markup conversation is over before it starts.
Rule of thumb: the average market rate for a 40–50 ft yacht in Miami is $330–$500 per hour with captain and fuel included. A quote far below that range is usually missing the captain or the fuel; a quote far above it is usually paying somebody's markup.
Tickets vs private
Ticketed party cruises in Miami run $59–$109 per person for 3 hours; sunset ticket cruises run $35–$75. Whether that beats a private charter is pure arithmetic.
The Miami ticket market is standardized: $59–$109 per person buys 3 hours on a shared party deck, usually with open bar and a DJ, strictly 21+. For two to five people, that's the cheapest way onto the water, full stop. But run the numbers for a real group. Ten friends at a mid-range $79 ticket spend $790 for three shared hours. The same ten can take a private pontoon for four hours at $560 total — $56 each — or a private sport boat at $760, with their own captain, their own music, their own cooler, and a stop at Haulover Sandbar that no ticket cruise makes.
At thirteen people the math tilts harder: $109 tickets cost the group $1,417, while a private 50–59 ft yacht is $1,800 for four hours — $138 per person for the whole boat, a cabin, and a route you choose. A 30% deposit holds your date; the balance is due before departure. No. Fuel is included in every rate on this page, along with the captain. Some Miami operators quote a low hourly rate and add fuel at the dock — we don't, which is why our sticker price can look higher and your final bill lower.
Often, yes. Monday–Thursday is the soft demand window in Miami, and many boats in our partner fleet quote below their Saturday rate. Tell us your dates are flexible and we'll find the cheapest slot of your week.
Weather reschedules are free with 48+ hours' notice, and if our captain calls conditions unsafe you move to a new date at no cost — that's his call to make. For other changes, contact us early and we'll rebook you wherever the calendar allows.
The rates on this page are pre-tax. Florida sales tax is itemized on your written quote before you pay the deposit, so the number you approve is the number you're charged. Nothing new appears at the dock.
